How do I sign up as a volunteer?
- Volunteers can sign up through our online volunteer form linked below. Once submitted, please email photos of previous work to SprinkleSquad@TheSprinkleProjectTX.org. We will follow up as soon as possible. If you do not hear back within one week, please do not hesitate to email.
Do I need to provide my own supplies and ingredients?
- In most cases, supplies and ingredients are the volunteer's responsibility.
- We do not expect you to spend countless hours or an extravagant amount of money. Decoration and time is at your discretion, but we do expect the dessert to have a clean finish and attractive design. Examples of designs are above.
Are there food safety guidelines?
- Yes. Food safety is our top priority.
- Volunteers involved in food preparation must follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. We require all volunteers to have a Food Handler License for this purpose.
How is delivery or pick up handled?
- We will work with each baker/family/case worker to determine the best option.
Is a background check required?
- Some volunteer roles - especially those involving children or sensitive information - may require a background check. Volunteers will be notified in advance if this applies.
What if I need to cancel?
- We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly and respect the time of other volunteers.
Can I take photos/videos while volunteering?
- You may take photos of the desserts you create and the process.
- Photos of the recipients (children and adults) is strictly prohibited. Should a family choose to share photos or videos, they are advised to send directly to us and we will share once given written consent.
- Ability to take photos and videos at future events will be discussed at that time.
What should I wear when volunteering? (For future events)
- Volunteers should wear comfortable, clean clothing and closed-toe shoes. Branded apparel may be provided or requested for certain events but is not required unless noted.

- In-home bakers are always welcome! As long as you provide all information requested and follow guidelines, we would be honored to have you as part of our team.
